**SECURITY & CLEANING OF MOBILE SERVICE UNITS**

The main purpose of the job is to secure the vehicles and trailers during the community outreaches and to assist with controlling the lines of the beneficiaries reporting for services. To assist with cleaning the units after outreaches to ensure proper sanitisation and health protocol are followed. To assist with general duties at the Kempton Branch if the units are not able to go out due to weather or other reasons. The security must assist the general worker need to assist with the handing out and collection of towels and toiletries.

**JOB SPECIFICATION**
- Control access to the Mobile Service units
- Ensure all beneficiaries sign the register on arrival.
- Prevent any unauthorized and irregular entry to the vehicles/trailers
- Conduct the search of the people when entering or leaving the premises - when necessary.
- Patrol the entire outreach area and enter the information in the occurrence book (OB).
- Ensure that there are no security breaches during the outreaches.
- Report any security breaches to the Branch Manager.
- Circulate amongst beneficiaries and employees to preserve order and protect assets and staff.
- Assist the organisation and staff to deal with unruly and badly behaved people.
- Record and report any OHSA issues that need attention to the Branch Manager.
- Assist with any OHSA tasks where required.
- Assist with other general duties at the shelter when the outreach duties are completed.
- From time-to-time assist with additional reasonable requests to assist the organization when outreach does not take place.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum Grade 12.
- Minimum Grade C - Security Certificate.
- Must have a current registration with PSIRA.
- Minimum of 1-year experience as a Security Officer.
- Must have a current Police clearance.
- Be physically fit and in good health.
- Have sober habits.
