**Crafting Efficiency, One Purchase at a Time: Join Us as a Proactive Fashion Buyer/Merchandiser**
Are you an experienced Fashion Buyer/Merchandiser ready to lead procurement and purchasing functions? Do you thrive in developing and implementing strategies, sourcing suppliers, and negotiating contracts?
**Responsibilities**:
- **Develop Procurement Strategies**:Formulate and execute procurement strategies aligned with company objectives, including sourcing new suppliers, negotiating contracts, and evaluating vendor performance.
- **Vendor Management**: Establish and nurture relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and oversee vendor performance to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods and services.
- **Inventory Management**: Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and collaborate with production teams to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess stock and costs.
- **Cost Optimization: I**dentify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement within the procurement function, negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service levels.
- **Compliance and Risk Management**:Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities. Assess and mitigate risks related to supplier relationships, market fluctuations, and supply chain disruptions.
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, finance, and sales teams, to understand their procurement needs, provide support and guidance, and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
- **Data Analysis and Reporting**: Utilize data analytics tools to track procurement metrics, analyze trends, and generate reports to inform decision-making, identify opportunities for improvement, and optimize procurement processes.
- **Team Management**: Lead and manage the procurement team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure team members are equipped with the necessary skills and resources to effectively carry out their responsibilities. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotes accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Fashion Buyer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and techniques.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- **Salary: R35,000- R38,000**:
- You would be required to work at our offices in Woodmead, Sandton and you would be **required to work American hours (2pm - 11pm). It is important to note that this is not a work from home position.**
Pay: R35 000,00 - R38 000,00 per year
