Petra Diamonds is a leading independent diamond mining group and an increasingly important supplier of rough diamonds to
the international market. The position will be based in Cullinan.

**Role Purpose**: Reporting to and supporting the Manager: Finance Shared Services the role will manage and drive the accounts

receivable team performance, ensure delivery on key tasks and mitigate risks by ensuring controls around sundry receivable and
cashbook payments are in embedded.

**Responsibilities: **

Perform accounting activities across all relevant Finance processes in a timely and accurate manner:

Work with site property manager to ensure late fee notices and other notices are communicated on time and follow-up on
eviction proceedings.

Track and enforce payment plans and consents.

Analyse lease ledgers for accuracy and provide insert, suggests and make adjustments as needed.

Maintains contact with attorneys and stakeholders on receivable matters as directed by manager.

Review accounts receivable reports for delinquencies and prepayments.

Analysis direct cashbook expense reports for accuracy and eligibility for payment.

Reviewing bank reconciliations timely.

Reconcile accounts receivable totals and general ledger with other applicable records (e.g. subsidiary vendors’ ledger).

Maintain and build good working relations with customer."

Ensure timely and accurate review, submission and payment of VAT, Royalties, IPDET.

Provide key insights to Manager: Finance Shared Services on financial data to enable effective management of the Shared
Services sub function.

Work with internal and external stakeholders to drive compliance to accounting standards and group requirements for
accounting.

Ensure that all Financial reporting is aligned with standards, guidelines and schedules.

Establish and maintain good working relationships and an effective / sound communication system with the Group Finance
Function and the operation.

Takes cognisance of and adhere to Company policies, procedures and relevant legislation. Manage and report on non
compliance issues.

Model behaviour that is consistent with the Company Safety, Health and Environment Vision and Values. Manage and report

Supervises subordinates in the designated area.

Effective Team Player and Effective Self-Management Management.

**Minimum Requirements: **

National Diploma in Financial Accounting (NQF6) and/or equivalent.

Minimum 5 years’ experience within a financial environment.

Full working operating knowledge on Accpac.

Computer Literacy and Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate)

**Advantage: **

Supervisory Development Programme (SDP) or equivalent.

2 Years' Supervisory level experience.

Experience in Shared Service environment.

Workflow experience / (Automated Invoice Processing).

**Technical Competencies: **

Demonstrate knowledge and skill of accounting principles and practices.

Demonstrate knowledge and skill in cash flow management principles and practices and budget control management.

Demonstrate knowledge and skill in related financial legislative requirements & taxes.

Know and understand how to perform closing and balancing financial records.

Be able to process and evaluate the relevant data for statistical purposes.

Be able to compile reports and financial journals
