IT Technician

Customer focused individual with high sense of urgency and good problem-solving ability required to lead Team of IT Technicians and provide technical support for users within Call Centre environment. This excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and leadership will be required to:

- Lead and develop Team of Technicians
- Be a reference point for all IT related queries at the user level
- Respond to user needs in a timely manner
- Ensure the optimal running of all systems, among other technical duties
- Install and configure hardware and software components to ensure usability
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Ensure computer security standards are met
- Repair or replace damaged hardware
- Install and upgrading anti-virus software to ensure security at the user level
- Perform tests and evaluations of new software and hardware
- Provide support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting
- Contribute to technical documentation
- Executing service desk request within defined SLA or deadlines

**Qualification & Experience required**:

- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification.
- Minimum 5+ years f experience in computer networks and IT support within a minimum of 1 year Call Centre environment experience essential
- A+ and N+
- MCSA/MCSE
- Linux+, or Cisco Certified Network Associate accreditation advantageous.
- Able to work day and night shifts.
- Able to work weekends and public holidays
