Our client in Johannesburg is looking for an Environmental Practitioner to join their team for a 12-month contract.

**PURPOSE**:

- Provide technical advice to the Project Development team on environmental issues,
- Carry out environmental screening on all Greenfield projects.
- Appoint and manage Environmental Impact Practitioners on various projects under development.
- Play a supportive role in the preparation of bids and tenders.
- Working with a wide range of clients including private sector and government
- Take the lead in regular communication with the monitoring sub-contractor to arrange monitoring schedules, access permits and any other required consents.
- Co-ordinating updates to risk assessments and method statements.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Qualification in Environmental Science or similar.
- Valid driving license as this position will require travelling
- Ideally 1-4 years post graduate experience.
- Relevant EIA Experience, good understanding of the processes, protocols and applicable legislations.
- Working with the relevant government sector is advantageous.
- Experience in GIS software and mapping.
- Preferable experience regarding EIA for infrastructure and planning projects, other relevant EIA experience in the renewable Energy will also be considered for the position.
- Assist with other permit approvals i.e., Telecommunication approvals, Civil Aviation Authority Approval, etc.

**Salary**: R50 000,00 - R60 000,00 per month
