**Job Advert Summary**:
**Purpose of the position**:
Oversee, facilitate, support training and mentorship, which is conducted by the organisation in the field of HIV, TB, STI, AYFS, primary health care as outlined in the PPPrev Programme: structural programmes, behavioural, biomedical services and intensified economic strengthening with TB HIV Care, Department of Health (DOH); Department of Social Development (DSD), Department of Basic Education (DBE) and partners.
**Minimum Requirements**:
- Certificate/diploma in HIV/AIDS management
- Degree/Diploma in Nursing
- Training qualification an advantage
- NIMART trained
- Adult Primary Care
- An accredited certificate in facilitation and assessment or equivalent experience
- 1 years’ experience with having initiated patients on PrEP
- SANC registered
- Extensive knowledge of HIV/AIDS, STI and TB in prevention, treatment and care on the latest guidelines
- Proficiency in English & isiZulu languages
- Valid code 8 driver’s licence
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Provides training support
- Liaise with the regional manager and training department to carry out training according to work plan and organisational priorities
- Plans all aspects of training including ensuring the necessary authorizations are completed, venue is arranged, training resources are prepared and any other aspects are planned
- Conducts training to support the DREAMS core package
- Attends “Train the Trainer”, DOH training, and other training events as a representative of the organisation
- Conducts skills audits and develops training plans in liaison with key programme staff, Department of Health and others in accordance with required outputs
- Facilitates training programmes according to learning outcomes and industry standards
- Amends and revises training programmes in order to adapt to changes in the field, district or sector
- Reviews training courses and facilitators on a regular basis
- Conducts assessments and supports the completion of POEs for training where required
- Conducts mentoring following the didactic training to facilitate a hand-held approach to transfer of skills
- Promotes quality assurance by providing QA SOPs and tools
- Conduct AYFS assessment and develops QIP with supported facilities
- Conducts bi-monthly ambassador support, on site and off site
- Maintains good working relationships with the Department of Health, Regional Training Centre, regional manager and other staff categories, training department and other stakeholders
- Provides feedback and/or implements training of others after attending such events
- Completes necessary reports after each training event, as well as weekly and monthly reports
- Assists with compiling quarterly statistics
- Ensures training events facilitated by external parties comply with reporting requirements
