What will you do?
To create data environment to fully support the business and provide operational reporting and insights to manage the day to day operations and guide businesses strategic initiatives.
Consolidate and integrate all business data to ensure that reporting outputs are rationalised to avoid duplication and ensure that generation of MI that is reconcilable to trusted data sources. Use data visualisation tools to generate graphical representations of information gleaned from the date, ensuring that the reports produced are attention grabbing and are generated as per service level agreements with the business to enable timely decision making. What will make you successful in this role?
Engage with business to gain a comprehensive understanding of goals, processes, and challenges. Identify and propose measures and Key Performance indicators and prepare the Business Requirements Document, in line with the MI framework, that can be translated into functional and technical specifications by the design and development team to support the achievement of business objectives.
Determine the data required, identify the appropriate data sources and where required integrate multiple data sources in support of the business specifications. Formulate and employ robust data analysis techniques analyse the data to ensure adequacy, and legitimacy of data.
Perform data preparation which includes data cleaning, standardisation analysis and daily use of data sources. Complete data testing as part of data migration and new system implementation projects to ensure that the integrity of the data is maintained, and all reports are reliable and accurate.

Raise instances where insufficient and/or inaccurate data is available and does not meet business requirements - propose alternative approaches for consideration.
Use data visualisation tools to generate graphical representations of information gleaned from the date, ensuring that the reports produced are attention grabbing and are generated as per service level agreements with the business to enable timely decision making.
Analyse trends within the data and provide the business with insights to highlight new opportunities as well as potential issues.
Develop code and reporting processes as well as look up or reference tables that will facilitate the interpretation of datasets, automate repetitive reporting to reduce human error and to improve the standard and quality of reports produced.
Responsible for re-evaluating existing and new business processes that may enhance productivity capabilities. Ensuring understanding and correctness of Service Levels. Ensuring HR policies and procedures are adhered to and implemented correctly by business.
Provide training to staff on all levels of new systems, processes and or products related to MIS Management. Develop and maintain cross business functionality internal and external.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in B Comm, Business Science or Computer Science (major in Stats, Finance, Economics and IT (preferably and Honours Degree).
SQL, SAS, Teradata, PowerBi, Qlikview, Tableau

**8 years’ Experience Description**: This role requires at least 8 years of experience within a data and analytics environment as well as experience using SQL/SAS, Excel, Qlikview/Tableau/PowerBI.
Knowledge and Skills
Manage a team of BI Developers and Data Analysts to produce BI dashboards to provide analysis and insights to stakeholders
Engage with stakeholders both internal and external to manage implementation in client data onboarding and data transfer mechanisms
Investigate and assess the use of new technologies within data management and analytics environment
Experience in short term environment (advantageous)
Drive modernisation through data migration projects from traditional MI into cloud
Manex management
Develop and mentor team members and drive continuous skillset development
Experience of Telephony systems, SQL, CRM, POM, Qlikview & MS Office Suite such as Excel Competencies
