**HMA Wear Solutions - Regional Sales Manager (South Africa)**

**Job description**

The HMA Group of companies is an international, multi-disciplined engineering, procurement and manufacturing organisation involved with the supply of product and equipment to the mining, mineral processing, and power generation industries. HMA Wear Solutions is involved in the design and supply of mineral processing cyclones, abrasion resistant lined piping systems and fabricated chute work

(predominately ceramic lined) along with ancillary products used within the mining industry.

As part of our growth plans, our Johannesburg office is looking for a talented and dynamic Regional

Sales Manager to join the HMA Wear Solutions Division. Reporting to the HMA South Africa Country

This autonomous role offers a stimulating career opportunity for a leader to influence a diverse, sizeable, and growing business making a huge impact on the future of our operation, and our client’s operations, within Africa.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
- Supporting regional account managers, fabricators and contractors including joint visits.
- Mentor and guide sales team through regular contact to assist them in achieving the goals set out.
- Implementation of HMA’s quality standards and systems in South Africa, ensuring the delivery of quality products (for imports, locally manufactured products & on-site installations)
- Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
- Obtains product market share by working with sales to develop product sales strategies.
- Assesses market data by calling on customers with field salespeople and evaluating sales call results.
- Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and reports.
- Support the production operations by providing input on quality requirements and procedures if and when required.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Implements national sales programs by developing field sales action plans.
- Maintains sales volume and product mix.
- Review technical aspect of Tenders / Enquiries and provide technical support for the sales reps with assistance from International Sales Manager.
- Assist with the preparation of Tender Submissions.
- Conduct regular sales meetings to ensure KPIs are being achieved.
- Attending conferences and industry events as required
- A strong technical background.
- Proven experience at managing front-line sales employees
- Strong financial management skills including experience in the development and monitoring of budgets.
- Proven ability to coach, develop, engage, and effectively manage the performance of sales teams
- Ability to produce reports & presentations to a professional standard
- Experienced in word processing and spread sheets
- Proven competencies in problem solving, decision making, business development and personal influence.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrated history of setting and executing a sales strategy to deliver business growth and maintain mutually beneficial business partnerships with customers
- Sales and business development experience, including building and maintaining effective client relationships
- Experience in preparing and delivering sales bids and tender responses.
- A “hands on” problem solver who can think for themselves and have the drive to get the project completed on time.
- Experience in managing manufacturing facilities (Desirable, but not essential)
