Heavy Current Electrician

**Key Performance Area**:

- Attend to customer’s electrical meter installation complaints to ensure effective service delivery
- Execute governance and risk management, Council policies and Municipal by-laws to ensure effective revenue protection and legal compliance
- Investigate and verify the integrity of the meter installation where complaints have been received pertaining to accounts and electrical information (e.g. meter numbers, stand numbers, etc.) to ensure effective revenue protection and effective service delivery
- Conduct routine inspections to identify possible electricity meter problems and rectify them to ensure effective revenue protection and effective service delivery
- Provide metering data and installation advice to ensure effective revenue protection and effective service delivery
- Engage in the 90-day-non-purchase or low purchase on prepayment meter’s process and credit direct or CT-CT/VT driven meter no consumption and low consumption in terms of tampering and bypassing allegations to ensure effective revenue collection
- Manage small revenue based capital budget allocations to ensure that capital budget allocations are spent effectively and efficiently
- Plan and design meter related infrastructure to ensure that meter related infrastructure can meet demands
- Comply with legislation and organisational policy to effectively contribute towards meeting organisational objectives
- Demonstrate a caring attitude to customers to maintain good customer relations and efficient and effective service delivery

**Minimum Requirements**:

- NTS 6 Certificate (Heavy Current)
- Qualified Trade Test Electrician
- 3 years’ experience in a similar environment

**Salary**: R199 308 - R273 396 per annum (plus benefits)
