Job Context: A vacancy exists for an operations manager to be based in Bellville, Cape Town. The role reports directly to the managing director of BC Security Solutions.

**Minimum Requirements**
- Grade 12 certificate with 5 to 8 years Management/ Operations experience in the security industry.
- Proven experience in a managerial role
- Strong decision-making capabilities
- Above-average communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
- Proven ability to plan, develop and maintain financial plans
- Ability to motivate and lead people, and how colleagues accountable
- Strong Working knowledge of operational procedures
- Have a valid driver’s license
- No criminal record
- Working knowledge of the firearm act and firearm competency

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Maintaining good relations between BC Security Solutions and the Client about security services rendered
- Develop, execute and report on tactics that can achieve the company's strategic and business goals.
- Convert strategy into actionable targets for performance and development.
- Liaise with all your Site Managers/Supervisors daily to ensure operational procedures, as set out in the SOP’s, are adhered to.
- Maintain timelines to ensures tasks are accomplished on time.
- Constantly evaluating the service levels provided and making recommendations to the Client regarding the improvement of services
- Effective cost controls mechanisms being maintained and/or implemented to minimize expenses.
- Update and keep current SOPs Manuals always updated
- Assist Site Management with any incidents that occur and follow-up on instructions on how to prevent it from happening again.
- Be responsible for the Business area Budgets and the control thereof. This includes developing, implementing, and maintaining budgetary and resource allocation plans.
- Ensure that all invoicing is correct and that invoices are delivered to clients on time.
- Ensure that pay queries are reduced to the minimum and that they are handled promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure that your business area operate at maximum profitability without compromising on expected service delivery
- Develop the team through training and mentorship.
- Coordinate the efforts of the different operational areas to ensure mínimal duplication of efforts and maximum efficiency.
- Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the business area.
- Institute innovative ideas to enhance quality and add value to services rendered to clients.
- Liaise with clients on standard and quality of services rendered.
- Ensure health and safety regulations are complied with by colleagues, management, contractors and or any other relevant stakeholders.
- Manage all risks which could negatively affect the service delivery to clients. Report all risks relating to service delivery to Regional Director.
- Oversee and monitor all corrective actions, as results of audits, in your business area.

**Salary**: R20,000.00 - R30,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Diploma (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Security Management: 5 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

- PSIRA Grade A (required)
