Junior Costing Manager Account Clerk

A company specialising in the Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, and Support for and to the Non-Destructive Testing Industry.
**Purpose of the job**:
Responsible for the general accounting function including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules, accounts, and bank reconciliations. Assisting with monthly closings, account analysis and supporting the Finance Manager in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- prepare journal entries.
- reconcile and maintain balance sheets accounts.
- draw up monthly financial reports.
- prepare analysis of accounts as requested.
- assist withy month-end and year-end closings.
- administer accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- prepare tax computations and returns.
- assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
- monitor and resolve bank issues including fee anomalies and check differences.
- review bank reconciliations
- assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process.
- assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
**Education and Experience**:
- Accounting Degree
- knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- knowledge of finance principles
- knowledge of financial reporting (IFRS)
- Knowledge of PFMA Regulations
- technical accounting skills
- previous experience of general accounting
- proficiency in relevant accounting software - SAP
- Knowledge of Tax Legislation
- Knowledge of Companies Act
- Minimum of two years’ work experience
