**Retail & Floor Sales experience is NOT considered relevant to this role.**

**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**
- are confident in their technical design skills;
- take pride in their manner of customer presentation;
- have closing sales knowledge and exhibit confidence in negotiating high-ticket products, - are responsible in their management of customer accounts service from lead through to handover.

**BASIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**
- Lead generation, cold-calling and canvassing.
- Design and space planning advice during consultations with customers, in office and at customer residence.
- Measurement of kitchen site for technical drawing purposes.
- Creation of kitchen designs, covering the conceptualisation, colour coordination, drafting of technical drawings and creation of design perspectives on the design software provided.
- Generating costings and quotes based on designs.
- Presenting designs and quotes to customers.
- Negotiation and sales of designed kitchens and products;
- Managing contract of sales with customers;
- Realise customer expectations and provide customers with regular feedback and assistance;
- Problem solving any snags that may arise while providing professional service delivery;
- Quality control of pending / ongoing kitchen installations; and
- Receiving customer sign-off on completion handover.
- Assistance as may be necessary during the planning stages of trade shows and manning stands to assist potential customers and convert same to promising leads.
- Staying informed on latest interior design trends, accessories and materials, and technologies for the kitchen.

**ACADEMIC & TRADE QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum Qualification: Grade 12 Matric
- Relevant Interior Design qualification or a related discipline (advantageous, but not requisite)
- Accuracy in reading floorplans and architectural drawings
- Design software knowledge and proficiency in one or more of the following (essential)
- o 2020 Designs preferable.
- o Sketchup, Fusion / ArtiCAD advantageous.

**WORK EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS**
- Minimum Experience: 3+ Years interior/kitchen design & sales in the industry.
- o Proven experience with contactable references requisite.
- o Sales experience with a good track record in sales performance.
- o Showing Interior Design skills through a strong portfolio.
- Sales experience
- o Past experience with upmarket customer base advantageous
- Proficient in industry related finishes and technical information
- Negotiation & closing deals successfully
- Confidence in dealing with client briefs and presentations
- **BENEFICIAL**:_Having existing contacts in the industry, relationships with Architects and Interior Designers, and an existing leads book currently belonging to you.
