Key Responsibilities
  1. Design Support
    • Assist in the development of interior design concepts and presentations.
    • Create mood boards, sample boards, and presentation materials.
    • Participate in client meetings to understand their needs and preferences.
  2. Drafting and Modeling
    • Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and elevations using software such as Revit, Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Develop 3D models and renderings to visualize design concepts.
  3. Material and Product Selection
    • Research and source materials, furniture, fixtures, and finishes.
    • Maintain a library of design resources and samples.
    • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for material procurement.
  4. Project Coordination
    • Support senior designers in project management tasks, including scheduling, budgeting, and tracking progress.
    • Assist in site measurements and documentation.
    • Conduct site visits to assist with design implementation and ensure adherence to design specifications.
  5. Client Interaction
    • Communicate effectively with clients to gather information and provide updates on project status.
    • Prepare and present design proposals under the supervision of senior designers.
  6. Administrative Tasks
    • Organize and maintain project files and documentation.
    • Assist with preparing contracts, invoices, and other administrative documents.
    • Handle general office duties and support the design team as needed.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience: min 2 years of experience in interior design or a related field; internships or co-op experiences are highly valued.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Design Skills: Strong design sense with a good eye for color, texture, and spatial planning.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organization: Strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Primarily office-based office hour mon - fri 8am - 5 pm with regular site visits.
