- To act as the custodian for counterfeit management and research in order to develop and maintain policies, processes and procedures used within the cash industry, and to ensure that detected counterfeits are managed in accordance with defined standards, guidelines and regulations and that counterfeit threats are mitigated

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
- Develop and maintain a database of banknote and coin counterfeit typologies for the company.
- Scan and analyse the international and domestic environment for counterfeiting risks and threats within the industry to inform reporting and decision-making.
- Provide an in-house forensics counterfeit analysis service by undertaking forensic analysis on counterfeits.
- Provide expert testimony on counterfeiting for law enforcement in ongoing counterfeiting cases.
- Provide advanced technical training and awareness on counterfeiting to law enforcement and industry stakeholders.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- A bachelor’s degree in Forensic Science, Chemistry or Applied Science or an equivalent qualification;
- Five to eight years’ relevant experience in forensics or comparable analysis; and
- A solid knowledge of currency counterfeiting, risks and threats - especially in relation to forensic analysis and expert testimony.
