An exciting and challenging opportunity has become available for CAD Manager based at our Support Centre in Kuilsriver.

The main purpose of this role is to effectively manage the CAD function through planning and organising of the CAD office activities, quality control and providing input into the space planning strategy and implementation thereof. This role will also require maintaining the templates in line with best practices to ensure efficient and effective templates for the Retail Space Planners. Ensuring Specifications for the 3 Ackermans brands are kept and also evolved when the need arises within a formal approval process. It is also required to stay abreast of new technologies and align them to Ackermans Strategy as a Value retailer withing the Pepkor Group.

**Qualifications**:
We are looking for someone with a relevant Architectural/ Design diploma/certificate or N4/N5 in building drafting and having completed a Revit course. If you have completed an AutoCad and/or Occupational Health and Safety course it would be to your advantage.

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:
**KNOWLEDGE**:

- Knowledge of Spatial Planning, Store planning, 2D/3D draughting

**EXPERIENCE**:

- 3 - 5 years’ experience working in a design and store spatial planning role
- A minimum 2 years’ experience Supervisory/Managerial role
- Proficient use of Revit, AutoCad and ability to visualize 3D layouts in a working environment

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Process Management**

**Deliver on business Store layout/design requirements**:
Collaborate with relevant parties and collate store design information and distribute to CAD team for execution.

Planning and organising the activities of the Cad office to deliver on design and drawings of a high quality and in accordance with business requirements.

Present Store Layout/Design proposals and obtain approvals from relevant parties.

Build relationships with external contractors to ensure store compliancy and efficiencies.
- **Strategy input and implementation**

Provide input into the Store Design strategy and the implementation thereof. This includes staying abreast of current trends and challenging the current status quo, process flow and store layout and design plan and identify opportunities in line with business strategy. Provide guidance to the CAD team to ensure operational and technical excellence.

Align and implement strategic projects that might arise ranging from ensuring schedules align with supplier’s requests, new brand designs.
- **Quality Control**

Review the output of the CAD team and ensure it meets current quality standards and are in line with specification and regulations.

Deliver accurate BOQ schedules for store plans. Maintain an accurate 3D model library and regularly improve on the relevant drawing software templates.
- **Management**

Manage expenses within budget.
