Mechanical Draughtsman

Key Accountability 1:
SALES & MARKETING PROJECT DESIGN
- To understand client needs and add value through quality High Level Designs

for full product range (used for: presentation to clients, pricing, quotes, and

planning)
- To assure buy-in from client, management and factory by facilitating

communication and integration in the design and sign-off of specs
- Ensure that branding is visible, pervasive, consistent, unique and memorable
- Ongoing drawing focused collaboration with project managers and design

consultants
- Printing of CAD drawings in various formats and packages, and delivering them

to the correct contact in a timely manner
- Creating accurate CAD drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, and

site visits
- Seamlessly integrating and working with project managers, design consultants,

and sub-contractors, to produce and alter drawings
- Thinking creatively and critically to support the project team in the design

process, to create sketches and drawings that work
- Creating and continually updating project drawings lists
- Seeking clarity and understanding from sales team, engineers and project

managers when not 100% certain of something

Key Accountability 2: PRODUCTION DESIGN
- To assure quality, value and timely delivery through comprehensive and

accurate Detailed Designs (used for scheduling, buying, manufacturing and

installation), once project is approved; incl component designs
- To assure buy-in from factory & installation teams by facilitating

communication and integration in the design and sign-off of specs
- Printing various formats of drawing sets for project managers and site

supervisors
- Exhaustively reviewing and checking sketches and drawings for errors, before

being sent to architects, subcontractors, project managers, etc
- Systematically saving sketches and drawings on our CAD server; keeping the

server organized; updating project folders and files as jobs progress and

revisions are made
- Organizing and uploading drawings to web based storage sites/collaboration

project sites to share drawings with project and subcontractors
- Create, edit, and update standard details for use in projects

**Salary**: R20 000,00 - R30 000,00 per month

**Experience**:

- AutoCAD: 2 years (required)
