Portfolio Manager - Johannesburg

An established property management company is looking for an excellent
**Airbnb**
**Portfolio Manager** in
**JHB** to join their team

**Job Function**:

- Oversee a reservations team and overseeing and providing training to the reservations team
- A Hospitality Degree or Diploma Is Highly Advantageous
- Manage all reservations functions including SOPs for all properties and ensuring the team adhere to standards, in terms of turnaround times and quality of responses:

- Maintain and grow relationships with sales and preferred partners
- You are required to make daily revenue decisions relevant to the reservations department.
- Managing property listings and bookings.
- Guest communication, providing an exceptional guest experience from check-in until checkout.
- Organizing and tracking cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Performing marketing tasks ensuring constantly updated ads
- Presenting monthly reports
- Liaison between owners and service providers
- Remain up to date with various products in relation to the industry
- Site inspections.
- Bi-Yearly Reservations Survey
- System Updates.
- Handle all Deposits and Cancellations.
- Managing the Debtors accounts and working closely with the Finance department
- Ensuring respective properties are not overbooked, and room allocations are done correctly.
- Monthly Reservation Reports reservation activity, trends, happenings in the department.
- Oversee the maintenance of the Properties Yearly and adhoc
- Adhoc Reporting for Revenue and Sales
- Handling emergencies over weekends
- Mutual co-operation in resolution of issues arising from booking errors etc.
- Attendance of Sales Connect Meetings, providing updates & weekly trends in Reservations.
- Daily Revenue Decisions
- Hold a matric certificate and have reasonable knowledge of reading financial statements and budgets.
- Be computer literate and be skillful in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Have own reliable transport
- Be prepared to work flexible hours
- Travel out of town
- Proven experience in a similar position 3-5 years (essential)
- Sound knowledge of reservations management and functions
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets
- Knowledge of revenue management
- Excellent attention to detail
- Guest focus philosophy
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), practicing honest communication.
- Team player with positive attitude, enthusiasm, and emotional control.
- Excellent time management and self-discipline, interpersonal & solution seeking skills.
- Proactive, use initiative and creative flair when required.
- Committed and loyal, adaptable, and flexible.
- Must work accurately under pressure.
- People skills tolerance, patience, and care, ability to receive constructive feedback openly.
