An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for an experienced and suitably qualified Release Clerk to join the Clearing & Forwarding Team in Durban.

**Description**:
To take release and ensure delivery of all containers handed over for clearance.

**RELEASE PROCESS**:

- Requesting of charges from shipping lines and forwarders
- Process EFT payments
- Send POP & custom docs to Forwarders & shipping lines for collection of DRO's & Release
- Process Transporter Instructions and handover to transporter.
- Track until delivered
- Customer updates & tracking
- Afterhours & weekend support
- Cheque Recons & Customer consol splits
- Account allocations - Forwarders & Shipping lines
- Manage supplier statements - Ensure no overdues
- Special requirements for delivery/delivery addresses - Request & Plan
- Stops - Customs stops, SAPS stop, border police, port health & any other adhoc stops
- Stops - updating customers & request for literature/action cargo booking for exam
- Perform any adhoc duties or projects as requested by management
