**The Position In Perspective**:

- Taking full accountability for the Energy Management System
- activities within the company as a whole, which will typically include, maintain ISO 50 001-certification, assist to develop, and implement Energy saving initiatives/projects [e.g., For water, effluent, gas, electricity, Power Factor etc.], conduct Energy audits, Energy monitoring, implement Renewable projects etc.
- Take full responsibility for the lean optimization [Obheya] hunt, via Operations Excellence methodology,
- cost estimates for product manufacturing, and/or services to aid management in bidding on or determining price of product and/or service to OE and aftermarket customers alike.
- This includes markets that specialise according to particular service performed or type of product manufactured.
- Identify, assess, and implement cost driven process and product improvements towards enhanced global competitiveness of company’s products in the international markets.

**Duties will include**:
**Energy**
- Accountability to maintain current ISO 50 001-certification & implementation.
- Consult with Cross-Functional Departments to Plan Annual Targets & KPI’s (Energy Baselines & Annual Strategies with Practical Activities to Achieve).
- Coordinate Sustainability Programmes, including committees, ESG reporting and Sustainable Development Activities.
- Coordinate Management reviews [For Energy Management Systems].
- Prepare estimates for use in selecting Efficient vendors or subcontractors, including time, cost, material, packaging, and labour estimates.
- Facilitate Energy Saving initiatives, projects, KPI’s and Green Manufacturing strategic as well as practical initiatives.
- Conduct Weekly Energy audits & Identify Risk from Significant Energy Users (SEU’s).
- Energy monitoring, avoiding peak consumption [during working hours and related to weekends]
- Participate in Energy Management initiatives/activities [e.g., DOJO area, VA/VE].
- Facilitate and encourage continuous improvements - and cost reduction activities.
- Identify Energy Saving-Capex Projects.
- Training regarding Energy Saving, Energy Management & Improving the Use of Energy & Resources for our Organisation, Our People, and Our Planet.

**Lean**
- Responsibility to instill Value Chain Excellence and Lean Optimization mindset, culture, and activity across the organization.
- Drive Cross-Functional Departments to outline lean manufacturing goals and formulate productivity targets, activities and monitor cost effective implementation.
- Lead Lean Programmes, Agile Projects, and Continuous Improvement Circle Activities [For Value Chain Excellence & Improvement].
- Lead Lean & Cost dashboards by collating and displaying numerical and descriptive information. [Obheya, Dashboards & VA/VE].
- Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organising, scheduling, and improving work productivity.
- Prepare cost estimate statements, scorecards, and other necessary documentation at regular intervals or at management request.
- Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to quotes/bids as the project develops.
- Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
- Conduct evaluations to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction.
- Review Resource Optimization such as [material and labour] requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
- Compilation of action plans and action lists for OEM and aftermarket projects, to be used in discussions with Project Coordinators and Stakeholders at company, including relevant Customers [Upon Request].
- Assist in planning of manufacturing jobs on new products or components and the overseeing thereof.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related product costing and cost savings objectives as needed.**Inherent Requirements**

**Minimum Requirements of The Incumbent**:

- Must have an Engineering Qualification [diploma/degree]-preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Industrial or Energy Management.
- Certified Energy Manager [CEM]-qualification, or Certified Energy Auditor [CEA]-will be greatly beneficial.
- ISO 50001 implementation and certification. Including Auditing, Identifying Opportunities and Managing SEU’s.
- Experience with similar management systems would be beneficial. [ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, IATF 16949 etc.]
- Carbon footprint and Renewable-Energy experience.
- Working knowledge of Energy utility systems and Electricity account/bill/data/tariff
