- The role is primarily responsible for trade engagement throughout the product value chain to drive the following: 1. Driving a Trade focussed value proposition to become a market leader in Trade Finance 2. In an Advisory capacity, be a Subject Matter Expert on trade finance products to all relevant stakeholders: a. Trade Finance Products i. Documentary Credits ii. Foreign Bills for Collection iii. Guarantees iv. Supply Chain Finance v. Escrow Accounts b. Stakeholders i. RMB Corporate Bank & Clients ii. Trade and Working Capital Transactors iii. Trade Operations iv. RMB Coverage 3. Ensure smooth Execution 4. Sales by acquiring, retaining and expanding business. The role is accountable for achieving sales targets through the execution of a defined sales plan in collaboration with a TWC Transactor.**experience and qualifications**:

- Minimum 7 -10 years’ experience in a Banking trade sales/product environment
- Bcom Degree or equivalent
- CDCS - Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (preferred)
- Knowledge Requirements:

- Product: Trade Finance Subject Matter Expert. Detailed knowledge of the transactional products in context of the trade’s specialised product mandate. Strong understanding of the trade execution process.
- Sales: Practical sales experience and knowledge of portfolio management. Devise and execute a sector specific trade sales strategy.
- Client: Knowledge of how clients conduct their business, including understanding of the nature of internal and external client’s business and / or industries. Understanding key business drivers and being able to manage client expectations in line with Trade and Working Capital’s product suite and capabilities.
- Environmental Awareness : In-depth knowledge and understanding of market movements, market influences and indicators. Understands interrelationships between financial services industry and the industry wherein the client operates, the competitors and related factors that could have an impact on the business operations, the management of client portfolios and the profitability of the bank.
- Credit Risk : Demonstrates an understanding of credit policies, guidelines and credit risk relative to clients.
- Competitor : Knowledge and understanding of competitor strengths, weaknesses and competitive advantages and disadvantages.
- Trade Technical:

- Understanding of Society of Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) pertaining to Trade
- Understanding of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) rulings of trade products
- Financing of trade products
- Trade documentation
- Incoterm requirements related to trade products
- Exchange control pertaining to trade
- Foreign Exchange
- Credit, including customer and bank liabilities/exposures
- Reimbursements
- Confirmations
- Bill of Exchange Act
- Section 45/46 and 52 of Company Act
- VAT rules
- Understanding of accounting principles
- Skills:
