Controller: Expediting

**Job Advert Summary**:
Clover is looking for a Controller Expediter is to manage the primary expediting team and process ensuring that primary/ satellite/ direct/ PnP/ principal/ co-packer loads are loaded and delivered within the planned dates and times at the relevant locations.The primary transport expediter coordinates the movement of primary loads through the Clover Supply Chain Network against a Primary Transport Plan.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management/Logistics or studying toward a formal qualification and/or atleast 3-5 years relevant experience in a Supply Chain/Logistics environment in a FMCG environment
- Computer literacy (Intermediate)
- Business English: Fluent
- Work shifts/weekends/public holidays
- Experience in working with senior management

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Expedite Primary Transport Orders**
- Managing and actively expedite primary loads based on exception and priority using the Fleetview Module, YardLink and Flightboards to comply with plan
- Link loads, in Fleetview, manually which are not tracked.
- React to events in the Fleetview module
- Actively anticipate deviations from plan and resolve/ replan actively minimizing cost and delays.
- Ensure pro-active engagement with Hauliers/Site Management /Yard Management on planned deliveries, on-time collections, on time deliveries, slot time verification
- Escalate timeously and appropriately if any issues arise
- Communicate any deviations on slot time bookings for collection and delivery
- Confirm delivery of the load at end destination
- Manage resolution of supply risks
- Ensure all load are planned and expedited over a weekend
- Accurate planning and scheduling of all satellite vehicles over a weekend
- Escalate loads without tracking information, auto dispatch or billing information as well as master data issues to the systems support manager
- Engage with yard controllers on gate scanning process to help minimize gate related delays.

**Expediting Process**
- Improve primary turn around times in yard at point of Origin and Destination
- Minimise and maintain % of carry overs (Redeliveries) daily through efficient expediting
- Assist in discipline by Hauliers and own fleet operations of following process and systems put in place
- Transact admin to be up to date daily and includes correct statuses of all loads (Exception management)
- All loads to be linked daily, including all satellites loads - make sure actuals are in trips prior to dispatching
- Feedback loop with Primary Planners to optimise, tweak and improve daily plans for execution.
- Follow the correct procedure to amend/cancel loads in Plato
- Communicate amended/cancelled loads to SCP planners/yard controllers and hauliers
- Managing geofences for primary delivery points on WEBEM

**Create, analyse, communicate reports**
- Control, Analyse and Communicate loads on time reports from Expeditors into a management report
- Analyse tracking information and take corrective action with hauliers plan adherence
- Analyse actively tracked loads and take corrective action with hauliers and sites/customers/principals sites
- Feedback loop with Primary planners to optimise, tweak and improve daily plans for planning
- Complete expediting daily task list to ensure end to end control and form part of shift handover
- Ensure a full shift handover of all loads in the execution phase to next shift
- Full shift report at the end of each shift, including a summary, issues, and overview of priority loads to deployment, supply, primary planning teams and SCP management and where relevant to principal planning team

**Clover Own fleet expediting**
- Understand operational intricacies and constraints related to Clover's own fleet and distribution branches.
- Actively expedite Clover's own fleet to ensure that own fleet vehicles always have a return leg, can do multiple trips per day and are fully utilized.
- Drive own fleet efficiencies by engaging with stakeholders such as PnP, direct customers, the yard teams, the warehouse and satellite teams to promote fast turn around times and early dispatch.

**Conduct daily administration tasks**
- Ensure Plato/Transact daily administration tasks are up to date
- Ensure Plato/Transact daily admin tasks are up to date to Dispatched Status
- Control shipment details

**Manage Expediting Team**
- Manage Primary Expediting Team according to agreed KPI's
