**Purpose of the job**:To lead and supervise the milling maintenance team responsible for asset care through preventative and corrective maintenance on site according to Premier quality and safety standards. (The Premier way).

**Responsibilities**:

- **To ensure optimal plant asset management through**:

- Execute the asset care plan as per schedule and plans
- Ensure corrective and preventative maintenance performed as needed, both scheduled and unscheduled
- Ensuring up to date asset registers in collaboration with relevant managers
- Support performance management of suppliers by escalating issues to the manager or performing ad-hoc inspections.
- Ensuring cost effective inventory management of supplies and equipment
- **Ensure high performance culture in the maintenance team by**:

- building and motivating capability through competency-based selection
- training and development, coaching, mentoring, performance management
- effective communications
- leading and participating in Invocoms and meetings as needed
- ensuring good discipline and accountability
- establishing good working relationships with union representatives
- ensuring a conducive and safe working environment according to the Premier way.
- **To ensure full statutory and regulatory compliance to all health and safety and food safety requirements by**:

- Training on SOP’s by ensuring training of relevant personnel
- On job observation and coaching
- Inspections and reports on quality of work
- Participate in Audits e. Ensure implementation of agreed corrective actions
- **To ensure continuous improvement of the maintenance process and function through**:

- Culture of learning and continuous improvement in the Invocom
- Performing route cause analysis and problem solving
- Implementing/ executing CI ideas with relevant stakeholders
- Participating in CIP projects as needed
- To complete training and development and stand in for the Maintenance manager as needed to build capacity in the succession pipeline for this role.

**Qualification Requirements**:

- Qualified Artisan
- LSS Yellow Belt

**Experience Requirements**:

- 3-5 years Artisan experience
- 3-4 years Foreman experience Desirable
