Instrumentation Foreman

**Job Advert Summary**:
**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12
- N6 certificate or equivalent coupled with a recognized trade test qualification in the Instrumentation trade.
- 10 Years’ experience of which 5 years’ must be as an instrumentation artisan and 5 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Code B drivers’ license and ability to pass Rand Water’s K53 Test.
- Computer literate

**Primary Duties**:
The incumbent will ensure availability of an effective plant and continuous water supply to customers. The critical functions will include:

- Meeting machinery availability demands by ensuring optimum plant availability and reliability, performing cost effective maintenance.
- Management of staff in the Instrumentation Workshop. Maintaining good labour relations. Maintain a positive PCP climate within the section. Ensure all staff reporting to the Instrumentation Foreman are trained and developed in line with PDP identified as when needed. Ensure Manpower productivity and utilization at all times. Managing the performance of the Instrumentation staff reporting to him/her.
- Legal and procedural compliance in terms of Risk management for the section. ISO9001, ISO14001 as well as Occupational Health and Safety and ensuring compliance in terms of Rand Water policies, procedures rules and regulations at all times.
- Financial Management of the Instrumentation section in terms of budgeting timeously, allocating cost as well as variance reporting and implement the necessary corrective action.
- Submission of reports, meeting deadlines, attendance of meetings and providing inputs in all aspects of the Instrumentation discipline.
