The main purpose of the Concierge at La Residence is to consult with and advise all our guests on dining, entertainment and activity options available to them before, during and after their stay with us. This ensures that La Residence delivers exceptional personalised service, and lives up to the purpose of The Royal Portfolio, which is _"To give our guests a complete experience and a perfect stay"_.

**MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide guests with information about restaurants, wine farms, attractions, activities and other services in the Franschhoek area, Winelands and the greater Cape Town region
- Arrange events, excursions, transportation etc. upon request from our guests.
- Stay current and up to date with all hotel services as well as daily VIP requests and any special events or requests.
- Management of all brochures and maps in the Front Office
- Welcoming all guests upon arrival and engaging with them throughout their stay.
- Operate booking system Dineplan to make and update all outlet dining reservations - capture guest details correctly and ensure confirmations are sent.
- Assist with Tours & Transfers and Porters roster requests and queries in general.
- Conduct weekly refresher training sessions with team on new offers/ developments/ other TRP property updates
- Assist with updating of Standard Operating Procedures for the Front Office team.
- Have a close working relationship with and oversee the daily duties of the Tours & Transfers team.
- Ensure thorough communications between sub departments in Front Office and other hotel departments where needed.
- Update Opera (Property Management System) with guest profiles, information, interests and preferences
- Assist with ad hoc duties as requested by colleagues and Management if within reason and person’s capabilities

**REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management (Preferable)
- 2 years’ experience in a Concierge role in a 5* hotel environment
- Knowledge of the Property Management System, Opera, at Operator Level; computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams as well as Dineplan
- Ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Ability to take initiative and make judgement calls regarding complaints.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills; additional languages are a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail, hardworking and a passion for people and hospitality
- Ability to multitasking and time-management
- Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication and attention to detail.
- Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to flexible hours, day and night, including weekends and holidays
- Must live locally and be familiar with other hotels, restaurants, wine farms, venues and activities in and around Franschhoek, as well as surrounding winelands and the greater Cape Town area
- Valid Driver’s License, PDP and own vehicle (preferred)

South African citizenship is advantageous. A valid work permit is essential if you are not in possession of a South African ID document.
