The main purpose of this position is to develop, plan, deliver and evaluate technical and specialised physical security systems training in accordance with the legislative requirements and in support of the Group Security Training strategy.
Detailed Description
Develop and deliver technical and specialised training material through integrated/blended learning methodologies for physical security systems such as the electronic access control and intrusion detection system, closed-circuit television (CCTV) system, cyber incident and investigation management system (CiiMS) and radio communication systems.
- Plan and prioritise training needs, interventions and resources in order to align the physical security systems training and development with the operational requirements.
- Engage with the relevant key stakeholders to meet all regulatory as well as business requirements in order to ensure compliance and quality learning.
- Perform learning and administrative duties and act as the point of contact for clients in relation to physical security systems training.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments to determine the level of competence for staff through a workplace training-based approach.
- Track the quality and impact of the learning and development interventions, compile integrated reports and provide recommendations for the continual improvement of learning solutions.
- Proactively broaden own knowledge of functional area, displaying a willingness to make improvements in own work (including methods and practices).
Job Requirements
a National Diploma in Education, Training and Development (ETD) or an equivalent NQF 6 qualification;
- a minimum of five years’ experience in learning and development design and/or the facilitation thereof, of which at least three years in a physical security systems environment;
- sound working knowledge of physical security systems, such as the electronic access control and intrusion detection systems, CCTV system, CiiMS and radio communication systems;
- a _Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority _( PSiRA) Grade A registration; and
- a relevant qualification/certification in Information Technology (IT) and/or Computer Science will be an added advantage.
