Purpose of Role:
_ _This role is responsible for preparing and inspection of moulds on the casting bay. They ensure that moulds are prepared in such a way that will optimize the casting process.

Key Responsibilities:

- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Always adhere to Company policies and procedures, standard operating procedures and work instructions (SOPs and WI), Operate machines / equipment in accordance with safe work instructions, Always work according to efficiency standards, Identify any potential hazards and risks and report to the Foundry Technician, To adhere to required protective clothing rules and ensure appropriate PPE is worn at all times, Attend compulsory safe start / green are meetings at the beginning of every shift.
- Technical: Manufacture patterns as per specifications, Repair damaged patterns as and when required, Responsible for carrying out maintenance work on patterns, Ensure that a pattern inspection checklist is completed before production, Ensure that consumable stock items are maintained and report low stock levels to the Foundry Technician, Stack items in allocated areas and in a safe manner, Achieve set production targets, Perform TPM checklists.
- Quality: Adherence to quality control as per work instructions

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:

- Matric (Grade 12)
- Qualified Artisan

Minimum Experience:

- 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training
- Knowledge of product parts
