Senior Trails Guide

As a Senior Trails Guide, you will be responsible for leading guided walks and game drives, providing guests with unforgettable experiences in the African bush. Your duties will include:
Conducting interpretive guided walks and game drives to educate guests about the local flora, fauna, and ecosystem.
Ensuring the safety and well-being of guests during all guided activities.
Mentoring and coaching junior guides to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Assisting with the planning and organization of wilderness activities and experiences.
Contributing to the maintenance and upkeep of equipment, vehicles, and trails.
Building strong relationships with guests and delivering exceptional customer service.
Adhering to all relevant safety protocols and regulations.
Minimum of 4 years of experience as a field guide in a safari lodge or similar environment.
At least 1 year of experience in a senior role of responsibility within the guiding department.
FGASA (Field Guides Association of Southern Africa) and FGASA Trails Guide NQF4 qualifications (non-negotiable).
Valid PrDP (Professional Driving Permit), first aid certificate, NDT (National Department of Tourism) registration, and FGASA ARH (Advanced Rifle Handling) certification.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment.
Passion for wildlife conservation and environmental education.
Willingness to live on-site in Klaserie.
