Research, Marketing and Clinical Adminstrations

A busy orthopaedic practice, based in Constantia, southern suburbs of Cape Town, is looking for a medically-minded, academically versed addition to their team. This unique position requires someone who has a medical background, together with a knowledge of social media marketing. This position would ideally suit an Occupational therapist or a healthcare worker/nursing or clinical assistant.

**Responsibilities**:
**Research**
- Patient database management
- Patient clinical scoring and outcome measurement tests and capturing information (working closely with the hand therapist)
- Literature review and article search
- Assist in article writing and publications

**Marketing**
- Website management of clinical conditions and clinical information
- Management of social media platforms (articles, social media calendar, posting, upkeep)
- Linkedin management
- GP communication

**Clinical administration**
- Typing of dictated medical records, clinical feedback and medicolegal reports
- Assist in pre and post operative patient communication

**Qualifications**
- Any medical background, preferentially Occupational Therapy or allied health worker/nursing background and experience
- Marketing experience / diploma / degree
- Experience or knowledge of social media marketing
- Research background
- Experience in a medical environment
- Linguistic and medical term knowledge with accurate grammar skill essential (English and preferential Afrikaans)

**Other Skills**
- Computer literate
- Microsoft office suite
- High command of the English language both written and verbal

**Hours**: 8am - 4:30pm (partial remote option)
