Diagnostic Radiographer

Position: Radiographer

**Location: Mine Clinic, Middelburg Reporting to: Clinic Manager**

**Job Summary**:The Radiographer will be responsible for performing radiographic examinations and providing diagnostic imaging services within the mine clinic setting in Middelburg. The role involves ensuring the accurate and safe operation of radiographic equipment, maintaining patient records, and adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
- Ensure the accurate positioning of patients and appropriate exposure parameters to produce high-quality images.
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
- Provide support and reassurance to patients during imaging procedures, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including image interpretation and diagnostic reports and administrative reporting.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care and effective communication.
- Adhere to all relevant health and safety protocols, including but not limited to radiation protection measures and infection control procedures.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay abreast of advances in radiography and maintain professional licensure.
- Maintain QMS standards and processes within the clinic operational practices

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Radiography.
- Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Radiographer.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a Radiographer, preferably in a clinical setting.
- Proficiency in operating radiographic equipment and performing diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety principles and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and professionalism.
- Must have leadership experience

Additional Information:

- This position is based at the mine clinic in Middelburg and may require occasional travel to different mine sites or clinics within the region.
- Working hours may vary depending on the operational requirements of the mine clinic.

Pay: From R15 000,00 per month
