**Requirements**:
- NQF level 8, Postgraduate qualification in Commerce/Business Management/Conservation/Science/Tourism.
- Senior executive management experience in a relevant field for at least 10 to 12 years.
- Demonstrated Financial Management and Commercial skills.
- A sound understanding of the legislative and corporate governance framework governing national parks.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the conservation and tourism industry.
- Demonstrated strategic planning and leadership experience.
- Demonstrated conflict management skills and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in managing labour relations and diversity within a complex environment.
- Demonstrated experience in supply chain management.
- Relationship building and management of multiple and diverse stakeholders.
**Qualifications and Experience which will provide an added advantage**:
- Master's degree in Commerce/Business Management/Conservation/Science/Tourism will be an added advantage.
- Experience in socio-economic development.
- Knowledge of the built environment and/or infrastructure and facilities management.
- Experience in operating within a matrix management environment.
- Management of Protected and Conserved areas.
- Communication, negotiations, networking and stakeholder management experience.
- People management and Coaching skills.
- Experience in supply chain management and public sector procurement policies and procedures.
**Responsibilities**:
The successful incumbent will provide leadership in order to:
- Manage all operations and business processes within the Kruger National Park (KNP).
- Promote and lead socio-economic transformation and change management within and around the KNP.
- Develop and manage the implementation of SANParks policies, strategies and operational procedures within the KNP.
- Lead the management of conservation and combatting of wildlife crime within the KNP.
- Enhance tourism product development, operations and commercialization within KNP.
- Manage and oversee the implementation of the maintenance and upgrade of facilities and associated infrastructure within the KNP.
- Enhance the wildlife economy within and around the KNP.
- Integrate communities and land claimants into the management and benefits (including commercial) accruing from the Park.
- Promote sound and participative relationships between management and other employees.
- Promote strong consultative leadership of KNP.
- Lead stakeholder engagement process within and around the KNP.
- Implement the Park Management Plan.
- Implement the Board approved turnaround strategy for the KNP.
- Lead SANParks participation in the Greater Limpopo Trans Frontier Corporative Agreement Co-operative Agreement and associated programmes within the Greater Kruger area.
- Ensure the implementation of sound Corporate Governance and effective financial management in line with the Public Finance Management Act.
