An exciting opportunity exists for a baker’s assistant to join our team, a new venture of the client’s group.

The baker will be responsible for assisting the head baker in producing high-quality bread and pastry products.

Qualifications and Experience:
1 year proven experience in a bakery environment / pastry section
Culinary diploma / Pastry qualification advantageous
Proven ability to bake bread and pastries from scratch

**Responsibilities**:
Produce high-quality bread and pastry products to meet the bakery’s standards and customer expectations
Shape pastries and breads
Adhere to baking schedule
Ensure that you are able to be at work at 5am in the mornings to ensure the bread is ready for breakfast service.
Cleaning kitchen and bakery equipment
Packaging and display of bakery products
Adhere to HACCP controls as per legislation
Subsidised staff accommodation available in Maitland close to public transport, with possible lift clubs.
