An exciting opportunity exists for experienced bakers to join our team in Village Bakery, a new venture of the Village N Life group, based at The Bay Hotel in Camps Bay.

The baker will be responsible for assisting the head baker in producing high-quality bread and pastry products.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- 2 years proven experience in a bakery environment
- Culinary diploma / Pastry qualification advantageous
- Proven ability to bake bread and pastries from scratch

**Responsibilities**:

- Produce high-quality bread and pastry products to meet the bakery's standards and customer expectations
- Shape pastries and breads
- Adhere to baking schedule
- Ensure that you are able to be at work at 5am in the mornings to ensure the bread is ready for breakfast service.
- Cleaning kitchen and bakery equipment
- Packaging and display of bakery products
- Adhere to HACCP controls as per legislation

Subsidised staff accommodation available in Maitland close to public transport, with possible lift clubs.
