Here’s what you can expect to be doing in the role:

- Achieve financial targets
- Drive appliance products creatively and innovatively in product range
- Effectively utilise systems and processes
- Display sound trader instinct
- Display sound reasoning/influencing skills
- A Minimum of 5 years buying experience in a retail and/or eCommerce environment
- A proven solid track record in buying
- Experience in sourcing out of China (direct factory experience)
- Buying exposure in appliances specifically would be advantageous
- Proven negotiation skills and experience with supplier management both locally and internationally
- A clear understanding of the retail cycle and buying process
- A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of SA’s retail appliance market, regulatory requirement, customers and competitors
- Advanced level in MS Office package - with a specific focus on Excel and PowerPoint
