Payroll Administrator

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
OBJECTIVES MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
- Create & maintain payroll documents and personnel files
- Update and maintaining leave
- New joiner onboarding process & Termination process (access tickets, biometrics etc., for first day)
- Preparing new joiner pack
- Corresponding with line managers queries timeously
- Manage Learners Salary schedules & payslips
- Ensure personal documents of all employees are correctly filed
- Deliver an accurate and excellent customer service to all employees
- Guard the confidentiality of the personal details and terms and conditions of employees, ensuring access to records and data only to authorized managers
- Data Capturing on Sage 300 People
- Control Staff sign off documents
- Responsible for the coordination between payroll and HR, to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data
- Ensure that all salaries are paid accurately and in a timely fashion to all employees
- Prepare and maintain related payroll records and reports for audit purposes in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Take and handle all queries arising from questions about payroll.
- Ensure all payroll deadlines are met in order for payroll to be paid
- Co-ordinate employee status changes between Operations and Payroll for new engagements, transfers, promotions, terminations, etc.
- Handling and administrating employee benefits
- Assist staff with Training on Sage 300 People ESS system
- Ensure compliance (ISO, PCI etc)
- Manage Teraco Uber account
- Perform other tasks that may be required by the Payroll/HR Department
- Other duties as assigned from time to time.
SKILLS REQUIREMENT
- Sage 300 People payroll experience will be beneficial or at least 2-3 years’ experience in Payroll Administration (Essential)
- High level of attention to detail
- Be computer literate
- Payroll principles
- Skilled in MS Excel and MS Word
- Can work under pressure
- Be able to work on deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A high level of accuracy and numerical skills
- A high service-orientation and enjoy working in a team
- Exceptional organisational skills and a high attention to detail
- Sound knowledge of payroll
- Ability to work independently & a positive team player
- Self-motivated, self-confident and self-driven

- Matric qualification
- Relevant Payroll experience
