**Minimum requirements for the role**:
- Must have a CIMA / BCOM degree or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years experience in Manufacturing, Accounting and Standard Costing will be required
- Must have advanced computer literacy as well as SAP knowledge
- A good understanding of process order, material ledger and costing of manufactured goods is essential
- Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel to sites in Lichtenburg and Brits
- Playing a crucial part in the implementation and sustainability of the Move reporting tool.
- Supporting projects listed with calculations, verifying the savings in production operations.
- Costing corn seed for the South African Business for local productions and exports.
- Maintaining cost estimates and material masters in SAP system for Africa.
- Updating yearly month-end cycles in SAP master data according to budget.
- Determining export costs to EMEA and Asia and approving exports and transfer pricing.
- Managing transfer price agreements between different entities within EMEA and Asia.
- Managing KPIs to achieve lowest cost of production in Africa.
- Managing and reconciling all balance sheet inventory accounts.
- Engaging with cost centre owners with deep dive and analysis.
- Compiling operational and cost center budgets for the Africa Product.
- Determining unitary COGM (Cost of Goods Manufactured) based on calculated total production costs and total units produced (for South Africa).
- Performing variance analysis of forecast compared to budget, previous forecast and LRP.
- Working with the EMEA Production lead to re-work savings calculations and opportunities for the implementation of new Advanced Manufacturing equipment and process engineering.
- Documenting the process flow and procedures for the destruction of seeds and the handling of culls in the plant.
- Tracking and managing special capital projects and their ROI.
- Managing systems, including SAP Inventory Management, SAP Cost Accounting and Balance sheet reconciliations, SAP Process Order Management, Oracle Hyperion Financial Management and Material Ledger in SAP.
- Support SAP and Plant administrators with process orders on a regular basis, to ensure accuracy and good end to end process order flow
- Reconciling Grower payment.
- Coordinating and managing Asset Impairment reviews at all sites in South Africa.
- Supporting, where needed, stock counts in the responsible plants & reconciliations.
- Conducting Business Critical Travels to Malawi and Zambia to conduct internal audits on procedures and production cycles in SAP.
- Collaborating with global external auditors to get the audited financial statements signed off.
- Offering support and guidance on Cost Center & PnL allocations, Imports and Exports procedures for intercompany purposes.
- Playing an important part in identifying external and internal risks and security threats.
- Providing monthly COGS per country & PII release entries.
- Analysing Seed Treatment variations, comparing to prior forecast and budget.
- Calculating LRP information for Seed & Traits business (COGS, NSC, D&O).
- Explaining any Upside/Downside compared to prior forecast & Budget (COGS, Pricing, Volume, ECA, Parity, NSC etc.).
