Our client is looking for a Financial Controller, The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing a company's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and managing the overall financial performance of the organization. The role is also responsible for the monthly closing of the accounting ledger, maintenance of internal controls, statutory audit support, ownership of the underlying legal entity’s balance sheet & P&L and related process improvements.

**Responsibilities**:

- Financial Planning and Analysis
- Cash Flow Management
- Accounting Operations
- Financial Reporting and Compliance
- Review/maintain general ledger and cashbooks, monthly journals and other related postings
- Prepare month-end general ledger reconciliations (monthly deadline)
- Prepare and manage Intercompany Balance reconciliations
- Review debtors and creditors reconciliations (monthly deadline)
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
- Preparation of the Group Monthly Finance Pack
- Monitor and analyze the Lines of Business’ financial data and performance metrics to provide accurate financial reports to senior management and stakeholders
- Assist the Group Finance Manager with the setup and management of the finance KPI dashboards
- Manage the yearly audits, preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and other financial reports
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Calculation, completion, and submission of SARS returns in line with submission deadlines
- Assist the Group Finance Manager with the management of the centralized treasury function, including cash forecasting and analysis through visuals; loading of payments; liaising with the bank on administrative tasks
- Assist the Group Finance Manager with the automation of the ERP systems

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- Completed SAICA Articles
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and other accounting standards and regulations
- Proven experience managing financial operations and processes
