**:**_Key Responsibilities:_**

**- **Oversee the daily operations of the medical department on board ships**

**- **Manage a team of nurses and provide guidance and support as needed**

**- **Develop and implement medical protocols and procedures to ensure the health and safety of crew members**

**- **Coordinate with the ship's captain and crew to provide medical care and support as needed**

**- **Maintain accurate medical records and reports**

**- **Monitor and maintain medical supplies and equipment on board**

**- **Conduct regular training and drills for medical emergencies**

**- **Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies**

**- **Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including crew members, management, and medical professionals on shore**

**_ Qualifications:_**

**- **Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field**

**- **Current and valid nursing license**

**- **Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing, preferably in a leadership role**

**- **Experience working in a maritime or remote setting is a plus**

**- **Strong leadership and communication skills**

**- **Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment**

**- **Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities**

**- **Knowledge of medical equipment and procedures**

**- **Willingness to travel and work on board ships for extended periods of time**
