We are looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders as Senior Clerk in the Fixed properties department. You will be responsible for the administration of all invoices and the general administrative functions such as collating of statistics for the area, consolidation of reports and stock control. You will be working for a company that is over 100 years old with strong values, which are customer centric
- Update and maintain database for the Certificates of Competence and Compliance (Electrical/Health) and for the generators for all branches and funeral parlours nationwide.
- Report on all branches per province and on due dates for the attention of the Head Clerk and SHEQ Coordinator and send out reminders to the provincial structures for submission of reports.
- Advice on the payment and processing of invoices and the reconciliation of accounts from service providers for the servicing and maintenance of fire prevention equipment.
- Receive, scrutinise, and evaluate all SHEQ related invoices, advice finance for the processing of payments.
- Update the SHEQ budget accordingly and report to the SHEQ Coordinator
- Administer and update the firefighting equipment registers and budget on actual expenditure for the annual servicing of fire equipment.
- Liaise with the service provider on any deviations or problems which might arise to ensure compliance. Check work performed against the job cards and rectify deviations.
- Report to the SHEQ Coordinator
- Administer the removal and collection of medical waste per mortuary nationwide.
- Ensure proper document control with efficient filing.
- Handle all SHEQ related client inquiries from all the branches and offices nationwide.
- Control over stock.
- Grade 12
- Diploma in Occupational, Health and Safety is optional
- 2 - 3 Years' experience as Safety Officer
- First Aid Level 3
- Valid Driver's License
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act
