BIBC FACILITIES HANDYMAN.

Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor of the BIBC, this

position requires an individual who is assertive, selfdisciplined,

organized; demonstrates excellent

communication skills; and; has an understanding of the

importance of effective teamwork and understands the

importance of confidentiality.

DURATION Permanent (on successful completion of 3-month probation)

BASIC SALARY BAND

Package offered will be based on TCOE, and factors such

as experience will be taken into consideration.

STARTING DATE As soon as possible

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12
- Computer Literate.
- The ability to write and speak fluently in at least two

of the languages spoken predominantly in the

Western Cape including isi-Xhosa.
- A valid unendorsed South African driver’s license
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

DUTIES

Work Output
- Maintenance repairs - electrical, plumbing, painting,

carpentry, etc.
- Complete weekly maintenance checklist
- Keeping the BIBC offices clean
- Gardening duties
- Ensuring bins are out on Monday, Wednesday andFriday
- Ensuring bins and bin room is clean.
- Relieve the Commissionaire at reception when required.
- Relieve the driver when required.
- Shredding and recycling collections
- Assist with any other duties as per instruction received

from the Supervisor.
- Administrative - Interpreting Support.
