BIBC FACILITIES HANDYMAN.

Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor of the BIBC, this

position requires an individual who is assertive, selfdisciplined,

organized; demonstrates excellent

communication skills; and; has an understanding of the

importance of effective teamwork and understands the

importance of confidentiality.

DURATION Permanent (on successful completion of 3-month probation)

BASIC SALARY BAND
Package offered will be based on TCOE, and factors such

as experience will be taken into consideration.

STARTING DATE As soon as possible

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 1
  • Computer Literate.
  • The ability to write and speak fluently in at least two
of the languages spoken predominantly in the

Western Cape including isi-Xhosa.

  • A valid unendorsed South African driver's license
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

DUTIES
Work Output

  • Maintenance repairs electrical, plumbing, painting,
carpentry, etc.

  • Complete weekly maintenance checklist
  • Keeping the BIBC offices clean
  • Gardening duties
  • Ensuring bins are out on Monday, Wednesday andFriday
  • Ensuring bins and bin room is clean.
  • Relieve the Commissionaire at reception when required.
  • Relieve the driver when required.
  • Shredding and recycling collections
  • Assist with any other duties as per instruction received
from the Supervisor.
