Position: Marketing & Sales Assistant

To exponentially grow existing consumer sales through accountability and ownership

of the following areas of the business:

- The Tasting Room

Strategizing & implementing the optimal format: ie target market, pre
- arranged tours etc, opening hours, offering etc.
- Focus on promoting The Tasting Room on social media & the website,

drawing visitors to the venue and enhancing its visibility and appeal.
- Management of the tasting room that includes:

- Create & implement protocol for Tasting Room which includes

Presentation Scripts & delivery of same; Cleanliness & Tidiness;
Stock and Pricing, Sales, Ambiance at all times and per

occasion.
- Payment devices like Yoco, Snap Scan
- Ensuring the iPad and speaker is working for music and

payment via Yoco
- Coffee, tea, sugar, milk
- Create & implement Protocol per service offering with regards

to the service Style, Presentation & Execution
- Service:

- Consistently providing an extraordinary experience that

customers couldn’t get anywhere else, and that would bring

them joy & happiness.
- Create & update menu offerings
- Conduct internal presentation & approval before adding new or

removing items from the menu
- Managing Quarterly Dinners with Wine-Pairing Partners
- Manage & present AirBnB Experiences: Olive Oil Tastings; Tapenade

Tastings; Preserve Tastings
- Manage & sell the Tasting Room as a perfect off-site, intimate,

exclusive, premium & unique “Meeting” venue
- Manage & sell the Tasting Room for small events / Function Hire
- Manage Tasting Room sales:

- Walk-ins | “In Store Purchases”
- Cheese & Preserve Boards
- Olive Oil, Kalamata Olives, Tapenade tastings, Vinegars from
- The Company website
- Digital Marketing, Social media & photography needs of the business
- Sales - Winelands & Overberg (predominantly)
- To contribute to company sales strategy by driving local initiatives

that make a difference.
- Target identified, key potential customers - Wine Farms - for

Chaloner specifically in the Winelands region eg Uva Mira / Tokara

Deli as an example.
- Wedding Caterers - Harvest Tables; bulk; gifts for guests (Private

Label /)
- Build & maintain excellent relationships with customers & suppliers
- Develop annual Gifting Sales Strategy & gifting packaging
- Sept: Launch to clients and consumers

To drive all required elements of marketing, promotions, sponsorships to achieve

company sales and profitability.

To manage & drive relationships with digital marketing, social media & photographer

partners including support with contracts.

React with marketing urgency to any sales and profit shortfalls, stimulating long and

short-term sales initiatives.

To have a “can do” & “team player” attitude as a key player within this small

dynamic, innovative company.
