Our client is looking for a Senior Technician Telecommunication - Switching with 3+ years’ experience.

**Responsibilities**
- Undertake and lead technical activities within the Switching Facilities and High Sites infrastructure maintenance and repairs
- Provide quality supervision and control of maintenance and repairs of the Organisation's Switching Facilities and High Sites
- Ensure as-built information submitted accordingly for update; ensure compliance with SOPs, policies and guidelines, provide feedback to management
- Design Interpreting: review and interpret the drawings/plans specifying changes in records or as-built information
- Coordinate the day-to-day activities of broadband Switching Facilities and High Sites infrastructure maintenance as well as contractors involved in the supply and update of information to fulfil delivery commitments of the section
- Provide support to project management and operations management as required to ensure commitments are met by vendors
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders.

**Required education**

A relevant National Diploma or higher or N6 plus additional two (2) years' post-qualification experience or a three-year Telecommunication Electrician type (example - P&T Trade test) qualification plus additional two (2) years' post-qualification experience

**Required experience**
- A minimum of three (3) years' relevant industry experience in Telecoms Facilities (Switching Centres, UPS, cooling, generators, BMS, etc.) and High Sites (masts, containers, BMS, etc.) repairs and maintenance
- Experience in leading a vendor or in-house Telecoms Facilities and High Sites repair teams would be an advantage.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Diploma (preferred)
