Aon South Africa is hiring a Sales Consultant located at our Head Office in Sandton, based on a hybrid basis.

The role of the Sales Consultant is to provide an internal telesales' service to clients by means of quoting and selling products to different market segments, in order to ensure the attainment of pre-determined targets and the growth of the Volume Business Products Solution client base.

**What the day will look like**:
Executes client needs analyses to establish insurance requirements.

Prepares and processes quotes on the relevant systems as required.

Provides professional and accurate advice in respect of cover, exclusions, terms and conditions, ensuring clients are advised of any underwriting requirements relating to the policy.

Negotiates cover and rates with insurers on behalf of clients.

Responsible for generating new business according to set targets.

Achieving leads to sales conversion in line with business objectives

Ensures that proposals are accurately completed and follows up on outstanding documentation.

Follows up on quotes already produced and not yet accepted by clients.

Builds a long-term and profitable client base.

Responsible for producing weekly and monthly operating/ sales reports.

Supports and actively participates and contributes towards team initiatives and any new divisional or branch strategies.

Remains current with market trends within the insurance industry and is aware of competitors’ products/ offerings.

Adheres to the minimum operating standards.

**Skills and experience that will lead to success**:
**Qualifications.**
- A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferable.
- Must be registered as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act
- Minimum commercial FAIS credits
- Must be registered as a licentiate with the IISA (or studying towards)
- Successfully completed Regulatory Exam.

**Knowledge.**
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures
- Good knowledge of policy wordings
- Computer literacy with advanced know-how in respect of MS Word and Excel.
- An extensive knowledge of the South African and international short-term insurance markets
- An in-depth strategic knowledge of industry and business strategies and company goals.

**Skills and Attributes.**
- Confirmed skills to organize own workload and complete tasks accurately.
- Possesses advanced analytical, technical and problem-solving skills and abilities.
- Ability to communicate efficiently.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in and with teams.

**Experience.**
- Have a minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar or related role.
