**Brief overview of the role**

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the **Head of Subscription Products** is the senior technology executive responsible for a portfolio of products, accountable for delivery and product effectiveness.

The **Head of Subscription Products** will create the environment for product success in terms of cross functional teams, the tools, the process and the information that allows for informed decision making concerning the portfolio.

With the support of their team, the **Head of Subscription Products** will work closely with Executive Sponsors and Product Owners to ensure a clear roadmap is defined and technology resource is aligned to execute against set expectations.

**Key Relationships**:
INTERNAL:

- Executive Sponsor(s) - Members of the Global Leadership Team who are aligned to the portfolio
- Product Owners - Members of staff outside technology responsible for supporting requirement definition and backlog prioritisation
- Stakeholders - As determined by the product
- Technology Functional Heads - Partnering with peers to ensure resource and support is considered ahead of time
- Other Portfolio Heads - Partner with other portfolio leaders to ensure cross portfolio dependencies are managed effectively
- Euromonitor Customers - Alongside Product Owners, engage with end users to validate the evolution of the product both pre and post delivery
- Delivery Partners - Own the relationship with third party delivery partners

**Requirements**:
**Key responsibilities**:

- Lead a team of Product Managers, Business Analysts, Scrum Masters and Project Managers to deliver on the objectives of the portfolio
- With support of Functional Leads, manage the portfolio delivery matrix consisting of staff across technology aligned to the portfolio
- Own the delivery process/methodology/tools across the portfolio
- Own a portion of the technology budget assigned to the portfolio
- Work with the executive sponsor to ensure priorities are understood and resource is aligned to the priorities within the portfolio
- Partner with functional heads to create cross functional delivery teams that are right for the job
- Own communication from tech concerning the portfolio to the wider business including delivery plans and sign off of releases
- Providing overall governance and management information from the Portfolio to the Exec Sponsor and other stakeholders in order to support timely decision making
- Work closely with Finance to ensure both operational (OPEX) and project (CAPEX) budget reporting is available in support of actual spend and future forecasting
- Be externally facing and identify product opportunities based on external factors, highlighting these to Product Owners and other Stakeholders for exploration
- Collaboration with other departments to understand Product limitations / Competitive threats / Market opportunities / Consumer Experiences that could influence the product roadmaps
- Chair portfolio steering meetings to ensure the priorities and progress across the portfolio are clear and that expectations are being met/managed effectively
- Keep abreast of all portfolio value streams and own the action plan to mitigate any upcoming risks concerning product delivery and timeline commitments
- Own the relationship with vendors supporting the delivery of work packages within the portfolio
