**Position Summary**

To lead and manage the Non-Technical training team within the Volkswagen Training Academy, as well as deliver Non-Technical training courses as per defined learning path and timelines on behalf of MSXI for Volkswagen South Africa to ensure that certification targets are achieved (as per Brand requirements).

**Qualifications and Relevant Experience**
- Experienced Automotive Trainer of at least 5 years
- Thorough understanding of adult learning principles
- Thorough understanding of motor trade legislative requirements particularly pertaining to training and development
- An outstanding knowledge of the Automotive industry in South Africa
- Awareness of automotive retail processes and factors influencing competence development
- Ability to build excellent rapport and strong working relationships
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills
- Fluent English - spoken and written
- Expressly able to implement a coherent blended learning approach to training solutions
- Client-focused
- High degree of attention to detail
- Adaptable and flexible
- Ability to work independently in a market with little supervision and using resources available
- A self-motivator who sustains focus on results and assumes accountability for the effective conclusion of projects/tasks

**Strategy Consultation**
- Design the 1 to 3-year integrated Training Efficiency Strategy suited to Dealer environments, ensuring integration of VWSA’s business objectives / learning and development priorities.
- Promote and communicate the Training Value Proposition for Dealers, ensuring alignment to VWSA’s Group Dealer Franchise Agreements / Standards.
- Integrate Training offerings with Dealer Management Strategic objectives, overall benchmark, to support people performance objectives promoting a learning organisation.
- Achieve compliance KPIs / targets in support of Best People strategy for Find, Train, Retain, Recognise especially for training

**Planning and Development**
- Needs Analysis conducted, within the dealer network and Brands, annually (commence September) with a bi-annual review.
- Complete a demand plan, capacity plan and annual training calendars for Non-Technical Training (including SSA) by November of the current year for implementation the following year.
- The training plans would need to ensure certification target achievement and the Brand Training target requirements, i.e., Product Training, Launches, and Projects.
- Assign each trainer to deliver 120 platform days and 2-3x TtT trips to VWAG per annum (if required)
- Achieve certification and training targets.

**Training Delivery**
- Manage the training content design process, localisation, development, and maintenance for Product, Sales, After Sales Non-Technical, Information Technology and Systems and other training courses.
- Direct the development of new e-learning content, customise, and maintain existing e-learning content and support implementation, as well as to ensure that all training is designed as per the Brands requirements, with the Trainers and Instructional Design Team.
- Ensure that the training content for all training is updated and includes a
- Ensure that Learner paths and curricula for functional roles scoped and defined as per VWAG requirements.
- Ensure Cataloguing and version management of all training content.
- Drive the blended learning strategy through recommendations for use of technology and automation with the aim of achieving greater levels of compliance and managing costs for the growth in ILT.
- Determine delivery mechanisms, i.e. ILT, VCT and/or WBT requirements.
- Training exam failure rates reduced and managed in accordance with target.
- Implement the OEM’s Training strategy to facilitate a consistent approach to learning and development and ensure on-going improvement in the quality of training provision.
- Collaborate with the Support Services Team to guide on targeted training attendance to achieve certification targets and seat utilization.
- Manage delivery of new product launches and product knowledge training as per defined learning path and timelines. Plan 1 or ½ day ILT launch intervention which must include a static, dynamic, drive component and a minimum of three competitor vehicles included in the event (new product introduction training will be determined by model - on average between 3-5 days per individual).
