Maintenance Storeman

Primary Responsibilities
Issuing of spares to personnel, as per maintenance job cards or requisitions
Controlling access into maintenance store
Re-ordering of spares and consumables for the department, according to min/max stock levels at the best quality, best price and fastest lead times
Stock recording of all spares and consumables on Shopware/Syspro
Acquiring quotes, obtaining authorization for purchases, placing orders and following process through to receipt of items ordered and ensuring this is captured accurately on Shopware/Syspro daily
Updating budget and/or PO tracker daily
Ensuring all paperwork is in order for items received, including approved quotes, requisitions, invoices, GRV’s, delivery notes, etc
Ensuring queries raised on invoices or items supplied are resolved
Making sure suppliers pass credits for incorrectly supplied items
Sourcing specific items requested by technicians at the best quality, price and lead times
Maintaining purchases within the monthly budget
Contacting suppliers and doing follow ups as required by the department
Tracking shipments globally and ensuring payments and deliveries for international shipments are made on time
Arranging and storing of spares in allocated bins
Weekly consumable stock report
Identifying high cost items per month
Identifying high usage of consumables per month
Accurate monthly stock take
Housekeeping of maintenance tools and plant machinery
Working according to priorities
Reporting any crime or wrongful act done by fellow colleagues to the detriment of the company
Secondary Responsibilities
Maintain and report on health and safety issues
Reporting on company property damaged by co-workers
Any other reasonable instruction given by your superior relating to work
Competencies
Mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge of fasteners, fittings, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic components

Education and Experience
Minimum 1 year experience in similar position.
