Key Responsibilities:

- Inventory and Stock Management:

- Oversee the purchasing and inventory control of all lodge supplies (food, beverages, linen, cleaning materials, and general operational stock).
- Conduct regular stock counts and ensure accurate record-keeping of all stock items.
- Monitor and reconcile stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking, optimizing cost control.
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods.
- Implement and maintain effective stock management systems and procedures.
- Financial Management:

- Assist with the preparation of the lodge’s financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections.
- Oversee day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, petty cash, and invoicing.
- Track lodge expenditures and report on budget variances.
- Ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date for audit and reporting purposes.
- Provide regular financial analysis and insights to lodge management, helping inform decision-making.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the lodge’s annual budget.
- Provide recommendations to management on cost control measures and efficiency improvements.
- Prepare financial forecasts and assist in identifying financial trends.
- Compliance and Reporting:

- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices.
- Prepare and submit all necessary financial reports to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Assist with internal and external audits to ensure accurate financial records and transparency.
- Team Collaboration:

- Work closely with the lodge management team to ensure seamless operations across all departments.
- Provide training and support to lodge staff on inventory management processes, financial controls, and best practices.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

- Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Professional certifications (e.g., CIMA, ACCA) would be an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in stock management and financial control, preferably in the hospitality or luxury sector.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial principles, inventory systems, and budgeting. Knowledge of hospitality industry-specific software (e.g., Opera, Sage, or similar) is a plus.
- Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial management software.
- Personal Attributes:

- Highly responsible and self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
