**Account Manager**

**Fitch Solutions is currently seeking an Account Manager SSA (temporary 8 months maternity cover) ) based out of our Pretoria, South Africa office.**
- Reporting to the Country Risk and Industry Research Sales Manager this position holds direct revenue responsibility. You will be required to execute on sales and account plans in order to increase revenue for your book of business* by renewing, upgrading, and cross selling into the client base of banks, corporates, government organisations, professional services and Educational sectors across South Africa, and select Sub Saharan African Markets. Your role will also include converting new logo opportunities into sales. _
- This role is based in Pretoria and offers a base salary and commission_

**We’ll Count on You To**:

- Identify new opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling within the portfolio of existing accounts.
- Account Managers are involved with client interaction to drive usage and engagement, building relationships with clients and prospecting for new business.
- Responsible for the total client experience, from client on-boarding and quarterly/mid-year reviews, contract negotiations, commercial discussions to renewal.
- You will build and foster internal relationships with Fitch Solutions Analysts, Marketing, Legal and Product teams will also be required.

**What You Need to Have**:

- Experience required in Account Management & Planning with a focus on Country Risk & Industry Research
- Proven ability to meet or exceed an annual net sales target, including renewal and upsell targets and analyst engagement
- Maintain a high level of business activity, evidenced through tracking in our CRM, which includes frequency of client/prospect meetings, new proposals and other activities. Evidence of achieve non-sales KPIs.
- An understanding of/and interest in factors influencing international business and world affairs, particular an understanding of economics/ financial/capital markets.
- Personable with excellent public speaking and presentation skills

**What Would Make You Stand Out**:

- Proven ability in pitching and negotiating effectively at different levels of seniority within financial, corporate and government institutions.
- A bright recent graduate with a degree in Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent sales experience and a passion for a career in sales.
- You must be self-motivated and able to generate ideas and demonstrate initiative, tenacity and perseverance.
- Deep understanding and interest in Africa / Global affairs
