The purpose of this position is to provide the essential administrative, technical knowledge, and direction as listed. This position has oversight of a specific area and acts as a representative of the department in ensuring technical accuracy in project execution in all phases. This role has the responsibility to promote Fluor's competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence. This position may have the responsibility to serve as Design Lead on assigned projects or perform moderate to difficult complexity design assignments.- Supervise and provide guidance/assistance to project designers
- Perform 3D piping layout and equipment modeling of advanced complexity
- Prepare 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings of advanced complexity
- Prepare layouts for conceptual and detailed designs advanced complexity
- Produce and checks complex Piping drawings including but not limited to plot plans, piping plans, isometrics and sketches.
- Review 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings and the 3D model using 3D Review platform
- Assign work to teams, monitor and manage the work
- Develop the most cost-effective total project solution for execution of the discipline design work
- Develop and review project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other project baseline documents for all phases of projects
- Develop and review specifications, including design criteria.
- Incorporate health, safety, and environmental factors in design
- Develop and build external relations with client representatives and interface closely with other discipline functions promoting Client Service Excellence
- Engage Fluor’s global community, promoting a OneFluor mindset
- Participate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting.
- Review vendor equipment documentation within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution
- Review layouts and/or schematics for conceptual and detailed designs developed by the design group
- Review fabricator drawings
- Review bulk material take-off analysis and tabulations
- Perform, direct and oversee audits
- Support proposal and estimate activities
- Engage Fluor’s global community, promoting a OneFluor mindset
- Deliver quality work, and adhere to the Operating System Requirements (OSR)
- Execute project work in accordance with approved Activity Plans
- Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures
- Participate in people development through mentoring, development of training material, conducting training seminars, and performance appraisal input and counseling
- Contribute to and promote the use of Fluor’s knowledge management portals and communities
- Support Key Process Owner and Department Manger on initiatives
- Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
- Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
- Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
- May need to travel to attend to business related matters
- Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
- Other duties as assigned
- Background checks are carried out as part of any conditional offer made, including (but not limited to & role dependant) education, professional registration, employment, references, passport verifications and Global Watchlist screening.
- Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located and be able to interview on site., Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.

**Basic Job Requirements**
- Accredited two (2) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twenty (20) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twenty-two (22) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- Advanced knowledge of:

- S3D Equipment and Piping
- 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems and procedures(Microstation)
- Intergraph SmartPlant Review software
- Advanced knowledge of:

- Fluor design guides, piping technical practices, piping design drawings
- Piping design requirements (equipment arrangement, piping layout, stress requirements, and material requirements)
- Working knowledge of and ability to interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID), update master P&ID and pipe line and tie-in list.

Min 15 years piping design experience with min of 5yrs Petrochem experience

**Preferred Qualifications**
