**OVERVIEW**:
We are seeking to employ a dependable electrical engineer to join our company. The electrical engineer’s responsibilities include analysing existing electrical systems and making cost-effective improvements, conducting research, designing testing methods, completing quality assurance, inspecting the equipment, running diagnostics, as well as training new hires. You should ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.

**JOB PURPOSE**:
The person will be required to deal with complexity in a fast-paced environment.

Needs to be a self-starter with attention to detail and bring a positive energy to the work environment, with a willingness to excel in their role. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as registered ECSA.
- National Diploma (NQF 6) In Electrical Engineering
- Competent Lighting, Small Power Design and Reticulation, UPS, Transformer Installation, Emergency Power System Design, Fire Detection System Design, Public Address System Design, and other Electrical Systems for Building Services.
- Competent in tender and bills of quantities compilation and knowledge of various contracts e.g. JBCC, NEC3
- Competent with Designs and Construction Management
- Strong client relations
- Problem Solving Skills
- Must have experience in DC systems/equipment’s (Traction DC and AC substations)
- ORHVS certificate is a MUST
- Previous metering experience will be a advantage

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Developing, reviewing, updating, modifying, and approving electrical design plans and work schedules.
- Liaising with clients and other engineers to ensure projects are completed to specifications.
- Establishing relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, other professionals, and expanding networks.
- Maintaining and improving existing engineering processes.
- Analysing existing processes and scheduling meetings to discuss improvement initiatives.
- Conducting research, performing diagnostics, and troubleshooting equipment.
- Ensuring a safe, positive work environment.
